Introduction

Discord was made for gamers! By connecting your various gaming platform accounts to your Discord account it can automatically update your status to show what game you're currently playing. However, it's possible to customize the 'now playing' status to show any game of text that you want! You can update this with a general status, a funny joke or pretend you're playing a game that you're not to trick your friends.

Steps To Set A Custom 'Now Playing' Status On Discord:

• On Discord, open up the user settings from the bottom left of the screen.

• In settings, click 'Game activity' from the left sidebar.

• Make sure that the setting to display your current game is enabled.

• Add a custom game with the 'add button'.

• This will show you a list of Programs running on your PC, select one that is always running in your background such as anti-virus.

• Click its name and you will be able to replace the name with anything you'd like. Hit enter to save it.

• Whenever that program (ie; anti-virus) is running it will display on Discord as you playing whatever game or program you renamed it to. You will need to keep the program you renamed open in the background of your PC for discord to keep showing that you are playing it, that's why its good to choose an app that Is always running by default.
